Andrew F. Chen, Founder & CEO

Andrew is the restless soul behind D-Pop! Labs, an entrepreneur striving to make a positive difference in the world. He is a founder in and graduate of the Founder Institute, a Silicon Valley startup incubator. Prior to D-Pop! Labs, Andrew spent his former years as a management consultant at Accenture. There he worked for Fortune 500 companies in Products and High Tech, focusing on strategies for Web 2.0 eco-systems and the digital marketplace for his clients. He also found himself guiding CEOs in mergers & acquisitions, business development and new product launch. Before Accenture, Andrew worked in marketing analytics and marketing strategy at Hudson River Group. Andrew has also co-founded two start-ups, newSpark Group and CMYK Advertising + Marketing. He graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in economics.


Kyoko Kaneda, VP Product Development

Kyoko comes to D-Pop! Labs as a superbly experienced product manager and entrepreneur. She has directed the development of interactive web properties and custom business applications for dozens of organizations, including JPMorgan Chase, Adobe Systems, Business Objects, Nestle, and the CW Network. Prior to working with D-Pop!, Ms. Kaneda was a consultant at a leading security technology firm. In that role, she consulted for several major government agencies, including the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, US Department of State, and US Department of Homeland Security. Ms. Kaneda has been quoted in Fortune, Entrepreneur, and dozens of other publications as an expert technology commentator. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Harvard University.


Joseph Kim, VP Product Engineering

Joseph is our technical guru who is very well versed in the soft arts of business development, corporate strategy, resource recruitment, and global operations. Prior to working with D-Pop! Labs, Mr. Kim served as the Director of Consulting at a leading security technology company and as a Senior Consultant at a strategy consulting firm specializing in competitive intelligence. As a consultant, he has directly advised several senior managers at leading global companies, including the current and former CEOs of General Electric, First Data, Fujitsu, LG, and Lotus. Mr. Kim has appeared on Good Morning America, Nightline, and BusinessWeek TV as a technology expert and has been quoted in hundreds of publications, including the New York Times, Forbes and USA Today. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.



Daniel Y. Jang, Strategic Advisor

Daniel Y. Jang is an investor, strategist, and lover of social good. Daniel currently works at the private equity firm Monitor Clipper Partners (MCP), where he focuses on new investment transactions and portfolio company operations. Prior to joining MCP in July 2006, he was a consultant with the Monitor Group. Previously, Daniel worked with the New York City Economic Development Corporation as a member of the Urban Fellows Program. He is also a seasoned entrepreneur (having co-founded two companies in a former life) and a published author (Yes, You Can Speak Korean). Mr. Jang received a B.A., cum laude, in economics from Yale University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.


Albert Cheung, Strategic Advisor

Albert Cheung tells stories through a photojournalistic style recognized as one of the most captivating in a long time. Albert has broken free from fixed geometries to pursue his passion for photography. He continuously experiments to find new ways to document images that reflect the joy, struggles, tensions and hope experienced over the typical course of human life. His pursuit via photographic images has brought him to locations in Japan, Europe, and Africa. Albert has worked alongside luminaries like I.M. Pei and has had images featured in major publications. His portfolio encompasses streetscapes, architecture, rock bands, weddings, portraits in more. Albert is also a Vice President at APC Consulting and the owner of Albert Cheung Photography, LLC. Albert received his B.A. in architecture at Cornell Univeristy.


Elaine Chen, Strategic Advisor

If there is anything that Elaine knows, it's product - with nearly a decade of defining customer needs, tech-based user features, and executing market launches - she lives and breathes solving the problems of everyday people through innovative, life changing technologies. Elaine has led defining products at Microsoft, Oracle, Success Factors and Workday holding positions from Product Marketing Manager to Senior Product Manager. If that's not impressive enough, she is both a Kung Fu artist and an Acapella singer. Elaine hails from the East Coast, receiving her Bachelors in Computer Science & Engineering from Brown University and subsequently receiving her MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
